Family camping is the best. Here we will be putting up ideas about what your family can do while camping and the endless possibilities of fun.
For the Husband (or boyfriend)
One of the best things for the husband is setting up that tent, pop-up or RV. The thing that will go through his mind is "I am man hear me roar". He has gathered all of this gear and now has put it in place for his family to use. Camping really brings you back to basics. Man also likes to show off his possessions, that is why he is so proud of them. Anyway he also wants to do some fun stuff on his camping trip. Here are a few sugestions
- Fishing. Most campgrounds have a private pond or lake that is stocked to fish from, and you don't need a license.
- Hiking. Some campgrounds have hiking trails and some don't. However you can always take a walk around the campground and meet new people.
- Socialize. When you go camping you are around a different kind of people. Almost anyone will speak to you. You have doctors and layers right beside of you that are more than willing to swap stories.
- Rafting. The KOA that I go to has a river going through it where you can ride a tube down. This is great fun.
- Swimming. Hit the pool on those hot days!
- Game Room. There is usually a pool table around.
- Explore. You don't have to stay at the campground. We usually go out for supper one or two nights that we are there.
For the Wife (or girlfriend)
One of the great things for the wife is that she is thinking "I am so glad i don't have to set up the site". That true ladies, just step back and let your husband do it. But of course lend him a hand is he ask. It is very important for the wife to relax while camping. You want the whole family to have a great time. I have been to a campground where a local women came and done massages for a price. It was well worth it!
- Spend the day by the pool. This is always relaxing and a good way to work on that killer tan.
- Bring some good books. Reading in educational and relaxing.
- Play some putt putt golf. Always fun for the family. See if you can get a hole in one.
- Bring some board games. They are a time passer.
- Go get your nails done. There is no reason your husband should have all the fun.
- Sing karaoke. A lot of campgrounds have karaoke now. Don't worry about sounding bad because most everyone else does too.
For the Kids.
- Hit the pool. It is a great way to cool off and hours of fun
- Putt-Putt golf. It is great for the kids and it helps them build eye to hand coronation
- Teach your older children how to build a fire. It could be a life saving skill
- Go camping when there is something going on like Halloween, Murder Mystery or Womanless beauty contest
- Take a walk and see Mother Nature
- There is always the game room.
